What is this?

A self-improvement book. Written as Questions-Meet-Answers, first-person format sharing of nutritive possibilities towards self-resilience and philosophical self-authenticity.

An imploration for individualised stance in Nutritional Science; as well as hypothesizing the last confounder behind the many present societal and humanitarian declines. The biological, philosophical then sociological interpreting – of what “enough” means. 

What is this?

A self-improvement book. Written as Questions-Meet-Answers, first-person format sharing of nutritive possibilities towards self-resilience and philosophical self-authenticity.

A three-year (and on-going) progressive experiences of Nutritional Frugality. An imploration for individualised stance in Nutritional Science amidst context/s of Structural Violence and Impositions.

A myriad of topics relevant to our turbulent times in various chapters. From Psycho-Social Stress, metabolic syndromes to mental disorders and failure/s of politics. All in addition to various undiscussed insight/s of Ketogenic intervention/s (SKD to CKD), other nutritional protocols and Intermittent Fasting. Further guidances include Nutritional Journaling, Tracking of Resource Consumption, and understanding Resource Longevity Analysis.  

Why should I bother? 

One may casually dismiss this as a book entirely on Ketogenic or other unorthodox interventions to meet nutritional & financial – frugality. This Book is “Food for Thoughts” – to incite within the reader curiosity at exploring, revising and reflecting inner resilience towards nutritional, scientific & philosophical – individualisation.

Beyond topics of Nutritional Science – a critical examination of  our current state at persisting amidst unchanged beliefs, dogmas, and influences perpetuated by Institutions, “Guidelines” and anointed “Re-correction” paradigms. 

Any individual who maintains and asserts curiosities as means of self-development beyond institutional or pedestrian conformities of living, sustaining and interacting. 

Whilst some of the detailed/nuanced sections of Ketogenic Intervention (as well as others) may seem overwhelming – they nevertheless (inevitably) serve some prime relevance towards any stage of the reader’s life. 

The many Questions within are widely derived from dismissive, skeptical and frowning – perspective/s often expressed amidst pedestrian sentiments.

This Book may not directly solve all the World’s Problems. Or definitive, one-liner cause behind all metabolic syndromes and pathological outcomes. 

This Book however hypothesizes the only one last biological confounder to all of the above decline/s. Our own individual metabolic and physiological sensitivities at interpreting what “enough” means. Compartmentalised through (first and foremost) Biological/Nutritional, then Philosophical and finally Sociological – Interpretations.

Our current appraisal of “Economics” and “Efficiency” 
is anything, but efficacious.

An average Australian household produces unwanted food wastes comparative to 29.6 weeks worth of Petrol consumption (assuming an average of $35 per week). Or equivalent up to three discretionary holiday travel/s each year (excluding trash generated elsewhere as expected).

Tonnes of dump. All food.

Each and every year – this is equivalent to 523 kg worth of food for each household. The waste generated VS population ratio of growth indexes skyrocketed by 3 to 1 ratio from 1998 to 2012; representing a 145% increase of overall waste production in 14 years.

Nutrient inadequacies – now a confounding factor to suicide rates. Structural classism / violence only recently began  its recognition as confounders toward metabolic syndromes and CVD risk/s. Despite adherence to “Conventional” dietary guideline/s and institutionalised dichotomy – adverse pathologies continue to persist. 

Why “Food”? Why should I care?

Nutrition is the symbiosis to interpretationNutrition is the Understanding and Reflecting of how we individually interpret ourselves relative to our environment. By surveying and realising – both the cause and effects of resources we consume. 

Any attempt to collectively contain or simplifying the above constrictively into just one (1) law, rule, paradigm or institution for empirical “Correctness” – is far too unrealistic once enforced as any broad epidemiological “advice”. 

“Institutions” are created only out of averaged means of solution/s in “hope” for “containing” complex contextual variabilities. Institutions rarely, if ever – change their code or stance of principles, or beliefs willingly. They believe “Science” should perpetually remain templated towards immutable, Totalitarian objectivity of “Facts“. Rather than subjective open books of variable “Interpretations”.

Why “Food”? Why should I care?

Our ability at digesting (“partitioning”), the reflecting of that which we receive and then expressed outwardly (“interpretation”) – ultimately determines the well being of our sustenance. From the molecular to sociology. 

All attempts at collectively condensing the above into few binary rule/s or policies towards “Correctness” – is haphazardly unrealistic. Especially if enforced as epidemiological or mass prescriptive advisory (or ideology). 

“Institutions” are created only out of averaged means of solution/s. In the “hope” for “containing” ever so complex contextual variabilities. Once enforced as Law or Paradigm – this quickly becomes unrealistic optimism in blind faith. 

Institutions rarely, if ever – change their code or stance of principles, or beliefs willingly. They believe “Science” should perpetually remain templated towards immutable, Totalitarian Objectivity of “Facts“. Rather than subjective open books of variable “Interpretations”.

“All this is common sense GIBBERISH!”

What truly constitutes “Common Sense”? We most likely only refer to the end-visual, observational aspect of what Common Sense is. Hint: driven stereotypically by politeness-to-policy compliances.

Unfortunately, many people are instilled with relaxed assumptions. Such that “Common Sense”, “Willpower” or “Humility” are based on Religious or Spiritual-based values of “moral charity”. This Book, on the other hand asserts them as Physical, Biological and Nutritional – interpretation/s of what “enough” means. 

A list (not exclusively complete) of adverse social and pathologic persistence/s still remains, if not for the worse. 

Food wastage, childhood obesity, metabolic syndromes, mental illnesses, suicide rates, widening gender politics, widening civil inequality, juvenile, unemployment, and crime rates; all continues aggravating every corners of living. Despite all measures of “good” or “orderly” institutional common senses being followed down to the letter. Or “Normal” dietary guidelines. Or forced “Means Tested” social-welfare’s.

If “Common Sense” is largely attributed to “Sensibility” via conforming same patterned methodology over and over despite adverse or unrelenting outcome/s – are you happy remaining as Statistical Follower; allowing dictatorship to override your own individuality or agency? Or are you an Authentic Explorer of your own biological reasoning?

Welcome to the Internet’s least visited independent thoughts on Nutrition & Wellness.

This is not another “Nutrition / Fitness Channel” that asks its viewers to submit a “Like” on a video. Or subscribe to its channel. This Book / Branding initiative implores the importance of Live-It-Forward model of gratuity as attempt to challenge the arithmetic conventions of the famed Charitable “Pay-It-Forward” model. 

This Book / Initiative aims to remain impartial and subjective, never prescriptive. Every so called realm/s of “Health”, and/or “Fitness” remains subjective, complex and inevitably – esoteric. This Book / Initiative aims to both reconciles, and prepares all readers to transition towards that of lateral acceptance of Interpretations-First-Facts-Second philosophy. Readers are strongly encouraged to seek and collate further research outside the space of this project, manuscript, website and blog.
